Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear
In October 2010, the Peak XV team produced the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear hosted by Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart on the National Mall. The event sought to provide a venue for participants to voice their opinion within the conversation of American politics, and featured musical performances by Sheryl Crow, The Roots, Jeff Tweedy and Mavis Staples. With approximately 215,000 attendees, logistical planning and technical production were carefully managed and seamlessly executed. The Rally was nominated for four Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Achievement in Technical Direction/Electronic Camera/Video Control.
Clinton Global Initiative
CGI convenes global leaders to create and implement innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges and the Peak XV team has produced each CGI event since 2005. For the last 12 years, we have developed CGI into one of the nation’s premier current affairs events and one of the few events in this category that produces measurable, actionable results.
C40 Mayors Summit
In 2014, the team at Peak XV produced the C40 Mayors Summit in Johannesburg. The event gathers mayors from the world’s largest cities for three days to advance urban solutions to the climate crisis. Tasked with developing all elements from program content to technical production, media relations to speaker recruitment, the Peak XV team worked closely with the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group to deliver its biennial conference.
U.S. – Africa Business Forum
Brought in by Bloomberg Philanthropies to produce the inaugural U.S.-Africa Business Forum at the Mandarin Oriental in Washington D.C., the Peak XV team delivered a highly successful event focused on trade investment and opportunities on the continent for African heads of government and American business leaders. The team transformed the event space, creating an immersive environment for attendees.
U.S. – Africa Leaders Summit with General Electric
Held during the United States-Africa Leaders Summit in August 2014, the Peak XV team partnered with General Electric to produce a forum on the future of African energy, infrastructure, innovation and investment, held at the Newseum. The event featured exhibit space which highlighted energy investments and high-level speakers including World Bank President Dr. Jim Yong Kim, President of Ghana H.E. John Dramani Mahama, and several foreign Ministers from African countries.
The Concordia Summit
Since 2011, the team at Peak XV has partnered with Concordia to produce their annual Summit, which convenes prominent business, government, and nonprofit leaders to promote global partnerships aimed at tackling the world’s most pressing challenges. With our clear understanding of the mission to advance public-private partnerships and create lasting social and economic change, Peak XV has designed a platform for Concordia to effectively communicate with their audience and advance their goals.
The CEO Council
The Peak XV team has worked with The Wall Street Journal since 2008 to develop the CEO Council, the premiere annual event for leading CEOs, and subsequently the CFO Network and CIO Network, to further engage C-Suite executives from the world’s top corporations. By building events that allow great minds of the business community to engage through technology and discussion, The Wall Street Journal and Peak XV have coalesced these executives around the idea of impacting policy, working together to find common goals, and putting their influence behind achieving them – in turn creating a unique, memorable, and impactful annual event for attendees and the media.
Special Olympics World Games, Los Angeles 2015
In July 2015, the Los Angeles Coliseum hosted the festive Opening and Closing ceremonies of the Special Olympics World Games, broadcast by ESPN. Produced by the team at Peak XV, the ceremonies featured musical performances by Stevie Wonder and Avril Lavigne, remarks by First Lady Michelle Obama and late-night television talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, and a parade of 6,500 participating athletes from 165 countries.
The Peter G. Peterson Foundation
The Peak XV team was approached by The Peter G. Peterson Foundation to produce their annual Fiscal Summit, develop creative ways to present content, and create a more compelling experience for audience members and the media alike. Peak XV designed a three-screen video-enabled set for the Foundation and each year since has helped to create video and graphic content that is both visually appealing and easy for the audience to digest. Most recently, Peak XV worked with the Foundation to manage and produce the Launch of the Peterson Center on Healthcare. The Center’s unique focus will make sure innovative and successful healthcare methods are replicated on a grander scale.
Rockefeller Centennial Series
As part of the Rockefeller Foundation’s 100th anniversary in 2013, the team at Peak XV produced a series of events throughout the world on subjects critical to improving the well-being of humanity over the next 100 years and the Foundation’s work on those issues. Events included: a forum on Innovation for the Next 100 Years held in New York, a Sustainable Agriculture event in Abuja, Nigeria, a meeting on Building Urban Resilience held in Washington DC, and a global summit on Dreaming the Future of Health in Beijing.
Rose Parade 2014 & 2015 Opening Shows
To celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Rose Parade, the Peak XV team took the nearly 80 million television viewers and 1 million spectators through a tour of American achievement — from the invention of the Model T to Neil Armstrong walking on the moon — in a Telly Award-winning show. The following year, we welcomed 2015 with a high-energy show that featured 3 twenty-foot drum floats with imbedded trampolines, high-flying acrobats, and a flash mob of 100 drummers and 100 dancers.
Green Inaugural Ball
The Peak XV team managed and produced the 2013 Green Inaugural Ball celebrating President Barack Obama’s second term. Hosted at the Newseum, the event brought together supporters of the environmental, clean-tech, and conservation community passionate about climate change in the United States.
The evening featured performances by Will.i.am, master trombonist Trombone Shorty, renowned saxophonist and seven-time Grammy winner Paul Winter, and more. With Peak XV’s intimate knowledge of the Newseum, we were able to design a unique flow throughout the venue, featuring different performances and food on each level, bars in the elevators, and innovative branding and social media integration to culminate in a top-to-bottom immersive experience for all 3,000+ attendees.
White House Summit on Working Families
In June of 2014, we joined with the White House, the Center for American Progress, and the Department of Labor to host the Summit on Working Families. With more than 1,500 in-person attendees and thousands more participating virtually, the Summit elevated the issue of working families and the importance of their economic security to the forefront of the national agenda.
National Clean Energy Summit
For the past seven years, the Peak XV team has partnered with the Clean Energy Project, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, the Center for American Progress, MGM Resorts International, and the University of Nevada Las Vegas to produce the National Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas, NV. The Summit brings together clean energy innovators, business executives, Congressional leaders, local citizens, and students to discuss the growing clean energy economy in America.
Bloomberg Global Tobacco Control Awards
In conjunction with the 16th World Conference on Tobacco or Health, former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg presented awards to six International Ministries and NGOs for their work on tobacco control issues. The team at Peak XV produced the cocktail reception and one hour awards show at the Al Maa’red Hall in Abu Dhabi. The show included several performing groups, including a local Sand Artist who created a series of paintings depicting tobacco control issues.
The team at Peak XV team produced the second annual ANOC Awards at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington D.C., which were broadcast on NBC Sports and Universal Sports Networks. Olympians, including Ryan Lochte, Katie Ledecky, and Kirsty Coventry, presented the ANOC Awards to a male and female recipient from each of the five Continental Games. Ato Boldon, four-time Olympic medalist and NBC analyst, was the master of ceremonies for the event, which celebrated the athletes with performances from around the world.
Clinton Global Citizen Awards
This cable-broadcast award show, produced since its inception by the team at Peak XV, has honored individuals for their leadership and groundbreaking work that has effected positive, lasting social change. The award show has featured performances by Jon Bon Jovi, Andrea Bocelli, Tony Bennett, Alicia Keys, Sting, James Taylor, Janelle Monáe, Aloe Blacc, Ben Harper, Don Henley, and The Roots.
